ABOUT ME

MOHD AZLI BIN SALIM, Ts. Dr. received his Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) in Mechanical Engineering majoring in Structure & Materials in 2006, and Master of Mechanical Engineering majoring in Control Engineering in 2009, respectively. In 2016, he completed his Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Mechanical Engineering majoring in Vibration Analysis. Currently, his obtained TRIZ Level 3 Practitioner Certificate and Certified Instructor for TRIZ Level 1. In addition, he holds a Professional Technologist (Ts.) awarded from Malaysia Board of Technologist (MBOT - PT18030176) in Manufacturing and Industrial Technology. He also awarded as a Chartered Engineer (No. 80358180) from Institution of Mechanical Engineers (CEng MIMechE), and professional registration with Engineering Council, United Kingdom (No. 660928).

 

To date, he is Coordinator at Centre for Advanced Research on Energy (CARe), Senior Lecturer at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FKM), Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), and Executive Member at Advanced Materials Characterization Laboratory (AMCHAL) and Principal Researcher at Green and Efficient Energy Technology Research Group (GReeT). In addition, he has also Graduate Member from Board of Engineers, Malaysia (No. 52357A), Graduate Technologist from MBOT (GT18020540), Secretary of Persatuan Penyelidik Pencirian Bahan Termaju (PPM-010-04-07062018), Member of International Association of Engineers (No. 108587), Member of Malaysia Design Council (No. 1-A-000462-2011), and Member of Electronics Packaging Research Society (PPM-006-10-13012013: No. 0035).

 

His research interest includes finite element analysis, structural dynamics, control engineering, vibration and acoustic analysis, conditioning monitoring, advanced materials, nanotechnology and nano-composites. He also received "Most Cited Paper from Praise Worthy Prize Publication Indexed by SCOPUS". For instance, he is one of the key pioneers in developing the stretchable conductive ink research in UTeM. Nevertheless, he also a founder of Electromagnetic Energy Harvesting (EEH) research on composite materials.

 

Currently, he has been appointed as Editor-In-Chief for Colloquium Paper: Advanced Materials and Mechanical Engineering Research (CAMMER'18​) year 2018-2021, Editor-in-Chief for International Journal of Advanced Materials Characterization (IJAMC​) E-ISSN 2636-9451, Editorial Board for Journal of Metallic Material Research,  Editor-in-Chief for books: "Control and Vibration Analysis in Dynamic System", "Recent Advances of Renewable Energy in Malaysia" and "Advanced Challenges in Automotive Technologies for Malaysia Perspective". In addition, he is the main author in "Reference Module in Materials Science and Materials Engineering" and “Encyclopedia of Renewable and Sustainable Materials” published by Elsevier. He also the author of "Application of Input Shaping Scheme in Automotive Vehicles".

 

To date, he has been appointed as External Examiner for Higher Degree Programmes from Universiti Brunei Darussalam for research title "Thermo-reflective Polarising Roof Materials". He is Editor-in-Chief for International Journal of Advanced Materials Characterization. In addition, he also Guest Editor-in-Chief: Special Issue (2019-2020) for  International Journal of Nanoelectronics and Materials, which is indexed by SCOPUS. Currently, he is Chairman of International Symposium on Science, Technology and Engineering 2019 and 2021.
